The UXI Wi-Fi 7 sensor models UX-7 and UX-7C support EMLSR (Enhanced Multi-Link Single Radio). EMLSR is a Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) feature that allows a device to connect to an access point (AP) using multiple links (e.g., 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz) but only transmits and receives one link at a time.
The UXI Wi-Fi 7 sensor models UX-7 and UX-7C can help you measure the wireless quality experienced by the sensor and validate MLO is working and available. The sensor status page for these models now provides visibility into the active connection being used and metrics on the alternate connection. The Alternate Connection data is grouped by band and you can click expand to see additional details.
In addition, the Wi-Fi status page measurements are also now grouped by band to provide more useful insights for all sensor models.
If you expand one of these test result charts you will see the results by network. You can click on a network to see the Wi-Fi Service Status page update to only that network.
The Alternate Connection visibility is only available if you have Wi-Fi 7 access points and MLO is enabled. Wi-Fi 7 is not required to use the sensor in general, but the alternate connection may not be populated. If you band lock the network the sensor is testing or lock the sensor to a specific BSSID, the alternate connection chart will also not be populated.
