Version 1.6 - Released April, 2024
New Features:
6GHz support is now available, the agent is Tri-Band capable and can monitor 2.4/5/6GHz
The UXI agent no longer monitors every wireless network the device connects to. Instead, it will only test networks defined in the "Wireless" List on the UXI cloud dashboard.
What You Need to Know:
Only networks listed in the "Wireless" section on the UXI cloud dashboard willbe monitored by the agent.
The SSID name is the only mandatory field required to define a network for the agent to test it.
You do not need to assign a network to the agent. Whenever the device connects to a network defined in the "Wireless" list, the agent will automatically begin testing the network and report the results to the UXI cloud dashboard.
Version 1.5 - Released Jan 30, 2024
New Features:
Supported Zebra devices with Android 11 or greater and later versions of LifeGuard will now get a free 6-month trial out of the box for Zebra Wireless Insights (WI) when using the UXI Agent. The trial license is available to the UXI Agent without needing to go through a license installation process, helping you get started faster. The specific lifeguard versions are described below:
"*" denotes device models that require Zebra mDNA license as pre-requisite for Wireless Insights.
NOTE: devices with A10 or Oreo (supporting WI) do require WI Trial or Subscription License for initiating Pilot in any A10 or Oreo SW build #.
The UXI agent collects Zebra Wireless Insights license information for devices running the above lifeguard versions and displays the license status and expiration on the UXI dashboard.
The agent now collects the device MAC address from Zebra devices, helping you identify which specific devices the agent is installed on.
You can now remove a network from an agent in the UXI dashboard. This allows you to remove networks that the agent is no longer testing. If the agent is still connected to a removed network or rejoins the network, the network will be added back automatically.
Resolved Issues:
Some telnet tests caused the agent to freeze. This issue has been resolved.
Captive portal on a network caused the agent to freeze. This issue has been resolved.
You can onboard via QR code using any camera, where previously only a rear-facing camera was used.
The agent name is sent to the dashboard only when provisioning. There were cases where the device would update its name in the dashboard, which has now been corrected.
An invalid display of storage permission in the agent in the app screen UI has been resolved.
