For managed service provider (MSP) customers using the Greenlake Cloud Platform, MSPs can create two types of workspaces.
Customer-owned mode (supported by UXI)
Customer-owned mode is where customers own their own assets, but the MSP manages their workspace.
MSP-owned mode (not supported by UXI)
MSP-owned mode is where the MSP owns the devices and subscriptions and also manages the workspace on behalf of their customers.
The UXI application is only supported on customer-owned mode workspaces.
In this mode, once UXI is enabled at the MSP level, UXI can be provisioned on the customer-owned mode workspaces. On the customer-owned workspaces is where you add your UXI sensors and UXI subscriptions, do not add them to the MSP level.
Getting Started with UXI on Customer-Owned Mode Workspaces
To get started with UXI on customer-owned mode workspaces, at the MSP level go to the service catalog and locate User Experience Insight.
Select the User Experience Insight application, then select the green Enable button.
Next, navigate to your customer workspace. Make sure under "Device & Subscription Ownership" the workspace is in Customer mode.
