Renewing your HPE Aruba Networking User Experience Insight Subscriptions

There are currently two subscription managers for HPE Aruba User Experience Insight:

  • HPE Aruba Networking UXI Subscription Manager (legacy)

  • GreenLake Common Cloud Platform (future)

We strongly recommend that customers who have not yet migrated to the GreenLake Common Cloud Platform do so as soon as possible. Migrating offers significant benefits, including the Auto-Subscribe feature, which saves time by automatically assigning subscriptions and devices.


Renewal Notifications

1. Subscription Expiry Notifications

  • Email Alerts: Sent 90, 60, and 30 days before expiry.

  • Dashboard Banner: Displayed 30 days prior to expiry at the top of your HPE Aruba UXI dashboard.

  • If you are unsure of what to renew, please contact your assigned CSM or uxi.renewals@hpe.com.


2. Subscription Renewal process

Important Ordering Information

  1. An annual services renewal contract excludes Cloud and/or Cellular (LTE) subscriptions.

  2. HPE Aruba Networking UXI Cloud and LTE subscriptions are separate line items.

  3. Cellular sensors require Cloud + LTE subscriptions.

  4. Non-cellular sensors require Cloud subscriptions only.

Renewal via Account Manager

  1. Contact your HPE Aruba Networking account manager:

    • Specify subscription type (Cloud and/or LTE).

    • Quantity and term (1, 3, or 5 years).

  2. The account manager sends a provisional quote.

  3. Forward the quote to your certified partner for order placement.

  4. After completion, you’ll receive an email with your subscription details.

Renewal via Certified Partner (No Account Manager)

  1. Contact your preferred certified partner:

    • Specify subscription type (Cloud and/or LTE).

    • Quantity and term (1, 3, or 5 years).

  2. The partner sends a final quote and assists with order placement.

  3. Receive a subscription email from HPE containing the subscription key(s).


3. Adding your subscriptions to your subscription manager

GreenLake Subscription Manager: Adding a Device Subscription

  1. Log in to your HPE GreenLake account.

  2. Navigate to Subscriptions → Overview.

  3. At the top-right corner, click Add Device Subscription.

  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup.

Adding Subscriptions for Agents

  1. On the landing page, look to the right-hand side.

  2. Click Services Subscriptions.

  3. Select Add Services Subscription.

  4. Complete the required details and confirm.

If your subscription manager is GreenLake, you can enable the Auto-Subscribe option. This ensures that all future subscriptions are automatically assigned to the devices.

How to Enable Auto-Subscribe in GreenLake

  1. On the HPE GreenLake cloud header, click the Global Navigation Menu icon.

  2. Select Devices > Device Configurations.

  3. In the Auto-Subscribe section, click Set Up Auto-Subscribe.

  4. In the dialog box:

    • Select the Device Type (Access Points, Switches, Gateways).

    • Choose the Subscription Tier.

    • Check available subscription seats to ensure coverage.

  5. Click Configure Device.
    Devices of the selected type will now automatically receive subscriptions.

HPE Aruba User Experience Insight Subscription Manager

  1. Click the kebab menu on your dashboard.

  2. Go to Settings > Account > Subscriptions.

  3. Click + Add Subscriptions and enter your subscription key.
